Not a meal plan. Not a diagnosis. Something more useful than both.
WHAT IS NUTRITIONAL THERAPY?
Nutritional therapy is a root-cause approach to health that uses food, lifestyle, and targeted supplementation to support your body's natural ability to restore balance. It's built on one foundational truth: every body is different. What works for someone else may do nothing for you, or make things worse.
As a Nutritional Therapy Practitioner, I don't diagnose or treat medical conditions. I work alongside your existing healthcare team to fill in the gaps: the deeper conversation about what daily habits are driving your symptoms, and what you can do every day to feel better.
What Nutritional Therapy Is
- A personalized, root-cause approach to your health
- An in-depth look at your whole picture: symptoms, history, lifestyle, stress, sleep, and goals
- A clear, practical protocol built specifically for your body
- Ongoing education so you understand the why behind every recommendation
- A partnership, where I’m in your corner, adjusting and supporting as you go
What Nutritional Therapy Is Not
- A meal plan telling you what to eat at every meal
- A diagnosis or treatment for medical conditions
- A quick fix. Results come from consistent effort over time
- A replacement for your doctor or existing medical care
- One-size-fits-all advice you could find on Google
IS THIS RIGHT FOR YOU?
Nutritional therapy works best for people who are ready to be active participants in their own health. My job is assessing, creating the protocol, and the strategy. The doing is your job. That partnership is where real results come from.
If you're ready to do the work, I'm ready to build your plan.
- You’ve struggled with symptoms, and haven’t found real answers
- You’ve been told everything looks “normal,” but you don’t feel like it
- You’re overwhelmed by conflicting advice and want clarity
- You’re ready to commit to the process consistently
- You want to understand your body, not just follow instructions
Still not sure if this is the right fit? Let’s talk through it.
COMMON QUESTIONS
Still have questions?
-
All services are provided remotely. Sessions take place virtually over Zoom, so we can work together no matter where you’re located. My business hours are Monday through Friday, 8am–6pm PST.
-
Yes. Because my practice is fully virtual, I can generally work with clients across the U.S., and in some cases internationally. One caveat: access to certain functional lab tests can depend on your state or country, as some lab providers have location-based restrictions.
-
No, and that's intentional. I don't prescribe specific meals for every meal of every day. Instead, I give you targeted nutrition and lifestyle recommendations based on what your body actually needs. The goal is to build your understanding and confidence, not your reliance on a plan. However, I am happy to provide you with specific recipes and meal inspiration that is in alignment with your protocol, and/or recommend meal prep or meal delivery services.
-
Unfortunately, NTPs aren’t able to bill insurance. I do offer monthly payment plans for those who would rather not pay in full upfront.
-
Sometimes. It depends on your plan and your situation.
HSA and FSA funds are meant for qualified medical expenses, and wellness coaching usually doesn't qualify on its own. But if you're working with your doctor on a specific diagnosed condition, your physician can write a Letter of Medical Necessity stating that nutritional support is part of your care. With that letter on file, many plans will cover our work together.
The path looks like this: talk to your doctor about whether a Letter of Medical Necessity makes sense for you, then ask your HSA/FSA administrator how they want it submitted and what else they need from you. Most plans ask for an itemized receipt, and some want the letter on file ahead of time. I'll always provide a detailed, itemized receipt to make reimbursement as smooth as possible.
Coverage is ultimately between you, your doctor, and your plan, but if this is a route you want to explore, I'm happy to make my part easy.

Dietitians and NTPs do related but different work. Dietitians are licensed medical professionals who diagnose and treat nutritional deficiencies and medical conditions, often within the conventional healthcare system. NTPs are not licensed to diagnose or treat, but we take a deeply individualized approach, focused on how your specific body is functioning and what it needs to feel its best. Many people benefit from working with both. If you're not sure which is the better fit for what you're working through, that's exactly the kind of thing we can talk through on a free consultation call.
-
That’s exactly what the free consultation is for. We’ll talk through what’s been going on and figure out together what makes the most sense for where you are right now.
-
I work with a wide range of symptoms and health goals: hormonal imbalances, PMOS, gut issues, low energy, skin concerns, autoimmune support, and more. I don’t diagnose or treat medical conditions, but I can help support your body through targeted nutrition and lifestyle changes. Nutritional therapy can also be a helpful support for concerns around blood pressure, cholesterol, and blood sugar.
-
Absolutely not. Nutritional therapy is designed to work alongside your existing medical care, not replace it. I'm here to fill in the gaps - the deeper conversation about food, lifestyle, and your body that the conventional healthcare system often doesn't have time for.
